Minecraft Wilderness Bound: Everything in Drop 26.3

When did Wilderness Bound release?

September 15, 2026 — simultaneously as Java Edition 26.3 and Bedrock Edition 26.50 (since hotfixed to 26.52, same content line). It is the third game drop of 2026, following Tiny Takeover in March (26.1) and Chaos Cubed in June (26.2).

What is the dappled forest?

The headline addition is a new Overworld biome — the dappled forest. It grows poplar trees, sprouts shelf mushrooms on trunks, and is themed around light filtering through a dense canopy. Inside it you’ll find abandoned camps — new structures that Mojang describes as hints of travellers who came before, with supplies to loot and a readymade campsite to adopt.

What new blocks and items are in it?

• Poplar wood set — full wood family (logs, planks, and the usual derivatives) from the new tree
• Grass mats and straw beds — a new portable bedding line for camping out; sleep under the stars without a full bed
• Cushions — placeable seat/decor blocks for campsites and builds
• Shelf mushrooms — grow on dappled-forest trunks
• Wool and concrete slabs + stairs — a long-requested building addition; every wool and concrete color now has slab and stair variants
• Adventure maps — Mojang’s traveller theme extends to mapmaking gear for explorers

Wilderness Bound is drop three of four expected this year:

Under the year-based numbering Mojang introduced for 2026, Java versions step per drop (26.1 → 26.2 → 26.3) while Bedrock steps its release line by tens (26.10 → 26.30 → 26.50) — the numbers aren’t meant to match across editions.
